Class 22 Adult Male. Judge Maria Chapman-Beer

1ST. EXHIBIT 20

Bengal. Brown Spotted Tabby. 1 year 6 months.

Brown Spotted Bengal.  A young boy of 18 months, looking very alert and posing well. Large ears with breadth between, wide at base, gentle rounding to top of head. Expressive rounded oval eyes, green in colour, well set with broad nose between. Broad medium wedge with full muzzle and pronounced whisker pads. Looks to have a gentle contour but chin could be firmer, pale colour to whisker pads and chin.  Clear facial markings, paler colour on whisker pads and chin, defined chin strap and broken and unbroken necklaces. Warm golden brown coat to body with excellent definition of markings and clear individual rosetting, spotted tummy, looks to be short and to have density.  Body of good size and development for his age, well shaped strong legs of medium length with well defined markings, spots down to large rounded paws. Thick shape to tail, well marked with rings and solid dark tip. In very good condition.

2ND. EXHIBIT 54

Brown spotted Bengal. Young boy just into adulthood at 10 months, posing well. Large ears wide at base with gentle rounding between. Rounded oval shape to hazelly green eyes of good expression and set, broad nose between. Rounded contours to medium wedge, pronounced whisker pads to broad muzzle. Looks to have a gentle contour to profile, but chin could be firmer. Clear warm brown facial markings, paler colour on whisker pads and chin, defined chin strap and unbroken and broken necklaces. Body of good size and weight for age with well shaped medium length legs, strong and with large rounded paws. Legs are well marked down to paws. Grey base coat with excellent definition of warm toned brown markings and rosetting. Warm rufus toned tummy with spots. Well marked tail of medium length with solid dark tip. In very good condition.

3RD. EXHIBIT 116

Cream Smoke Devon Rex. 3 years 7 months.

Delightful pose, looking very relaxed and comfortable.  Large ears with lovely tufts, have width at base but would like lower in set, although does look to have a more relaxed ear set in the second picture, flattening to skull between. Broad wedge at eye level with oval shaped yellow eyes, set well apart. Muzzle showing a defined whisker break but a little long. Coat covers body well and has density, showing tight waves, looks to be soft in texture. Slim body with slim shape to well covered legs and oval paws. Slim tail is well covered and showing waving. In very good condition.

Class 23 Adult Female. Judge Val Anderson-Drew

1ST. EXHIBIT 19

Bengal. Brown spotted tabby. 10 months

A young Brown Spotted Bengal of only 10 months with a stunning coat pattern.  Only young but she appears to be well grown and developing well.  Her head is a broad medium wedge with rounded contours & high cheekbones.  Full, broad muzzle with pronounced whisker pads.  Her ears are a little large but with a broad base & rounded tips and well-set.  Large oval eyes set on a slight slant.  Long sleek body which she had clearly demonstrated with muscular limbs to balance and a proper Bengal tail that is thick & even and of medium length.  Her coat appears to be dense and I would love to feel the texture.  Distinct spotted pattern with large rosetted spots on the body with a sharp outline.  Strong bold chin strap and well-marked limbs and tail.  Rich overall colour with markings on a yellow base plus gold dusting.  Lovely to see all the detail of the pattern in the photos.

2ND. EXHIBIT 155

Korat. 9 years

A mature Korat lady of 9 years.  Lovely heart-shaped head with good breadth between and across the eyes and gently curving to a well-developed muzzle.  Strong chin and it looks as if she has a little goatee beard!  Large ears with rounded tips and a large flare at the base, set high on the head with an alert expression.  Beautiful green eyes that are held wide open.  Medium sized body that looks as if it is semi-cobby and muscular.  Legs to balance with neat oval paws and slightly tapering tail.  Attractive overall blue colour with silver tipping and free of tabby markings.  Her coat appears to be of medium length but perhaps it could lie closer to give a more glossy appearance?  She looks to be in excellent condition and likes to pose for her photo.

3RD. EXHIBIT 55

Bengal. Brown spotted tabby. 1 year 6 months

A young Brown Spotted Bengal of 1½ with a distinct spotted pattern.  Her head is a broad medium wedge with a broad muzzle and pronounced whisker pads.  Just a slight curve to the profile & deep, rounded chin.  Her ears are a touch large but set wide apart with a broad base & rounded tips.  Lovely expressive eyes, large & oval-shaped.  Long sleek body with muscular limbs and a thick tail of even thickness with a rounded tip.  Her coat appears to be dense with large rosetted spots on a golden base.  The spots have a distinct dark outline and also form a rosetted pattern on her flanks.  Bars & spots on the limbs and her tail has distinct rings and a dark tip.  She appears to be in excellent condition and the garden setting enhances her wild appearance.

Class 24 Neuter Male. Judge John Harrison

1ST. EXHIBIT 59
Brown Spotted Tabby. Bengal. 1 year

A Brown Spotted Bengal lad (1year), obviously an intrepid explorer! He appears to be of good size and well developed, showing a super pattern. Head looks to be a medium wedge of good breadth with medium size ears. Body of good length with strong hindquarters. The coat shows a very even pattern of large rosettes which are well defined. The pattern colour contrasts well with the rich ground colour.

2ND. EXHIBIT 48

Black Spotted Bengal. 1 year 3 months
A slightly older Black Spotted Bengal boy (1year 3month). He seems to be well developed and of good build. Head has broad wedge, medium sized ears. Body of good length. Coat shows pattern of solid irregular spots, colour is dense and contrasts well with the rich ground colour.

3RD. EXHIBIT 10

Russian Blue 2 years.
A Russian Blue lad (2 years). Head developing well with high set ears.   Muzzle shows prominent whisker pads. Almond shaped eyes with slanting set and of a good green. Lovely gentle expression. Body appears to be of good size. Medium strong bone to legs.

Class 25 Neuter Female. Judge Janet Williams

1ST. EXHIBIT 139

Bengal Brown Spotted Tabby 1 year

A very attractive young Bengal, with a nice broad head, well shaped green eyes and a lovely coat. The coat has super rosetting and it looks to be clear coated between the rosettes. Lovely warm tones overall.  I liked the stance in the 2nd photo which shows a lovely profile albeit with a slightly receding chin.

2ND. EXHIBIT 60

Bengal Brown Spotted Tabby 1 year

This youngster also has a super coat, beautiful rosetting, and it looks to be free of ticking between the rosettes.  It has some lovely warm tones. Again, a very nice head with a broad muzzle. The ears look a little bit large and pointed in the photo.

3RD. EXHIBIT 140

Bengal Brown Spotted Tabby 1 year 6 months

I love the action shot! This is another attractive Bengal with a good head. The rosettes are very clearly defined, with some very elongated ones, and the coat has very nice warm tones. Good heavy necklets. The first photo suggests there are some white patches on the inner part of the limbs, but this may well be a trick of the flash light.

Class 26 Kitten Male. Judge Di Brown

A good entry of Foreign babes, all very nice and worthy of  a prize. A few aspects can only be judged in the fur so to speak, and photographs are notoriously unrepresentative of the cat  as a whole,  but I did my best.

1ST. EXHIBIT 151.

Cornish Rex, Black and White. 4 months 22 days.

A handsome chap, medium wedge with high cheek bones and straight broad nose, nicely rounded muzzle with short crinkly whiskers and eyebrows.  Huge mussel shaped ears with rounded tips set high in the head. Eyes oval in shape, perhaps a touch full, setting good, fairly straight at the top line with marginal slant to the outer edge of the ear. Long elegant neck and body, long slender legs and long fine tapering tail. Black and white coat waving and rippling over the back shoulder and down the sides, appears to have a good silken texture by the amount of shine evident to the black areas. Looks to be  a bit of a character!

2ND. EXHIBIT 80.

Russian Blue. 6 months.

A dear Russian baby, appears well grown. Short wedge with prominent whisker pads. Ears more medium in size, pointed at the tips, set an ears width apart and vertical to the head. Profile not easy to see from the photo, but the skull looks fairly flat and there appears to be a very slight concave curve to the nose. Eyes almond in shape with good width between, colour appears to be still developing but some green seen. This kitten was also in the members  class so I was able to  see his body length and type better in that photo, he looks quite chunky in my photo but has some elegance in the other  photo. Coat a medium blue still with some baby ghosting but appears to be quite dense and has plenty of silvery sheen.

3RD. EXHIBIT 62.

Bengal Brown Spotted Tabby. 4.5 months.

An attractive Bengal baby. Broad medium wedge with rounded contours, slightly longer than wide with high cheek bones. Slight concave curve to broad nose, muzzle full and fairly broad. Ears medium in size with wide base and rounded tips, following the contours of the head. Large oval eyes outlined in black and set with a slight slant to the base of the ear, colour still developing. Appears well grown for 4 and a half months, body fairly long with good depth of flank, legs fairly strong boned and medium in length with round paws, medium length tail, thick and tapering slightly to a rounded tip. Lovely clear pattern, rich brown rosettes on golden ground, markings to legs and tail slightly darker,  coat appears short dense and  soft.

Class 28 Members Class. Judge Naomi Johnson

1ST. EXHIBIT 20

Brown Spotted Bengal. 1 year 6 months. M

A very impressive-looking mature boy. He has medium sized ears, excellent breadth to his head & muzzle, greenish eyes of pleasing shape with a typical expression. Appears to have a strong athletic body of good length with broad chest & muscular neck, long legs finished with large rounded paws & a thickish tail.  His coat looks gorgeous, beautiful rosetted markings with excellent contrast and lots of glitter clearly visible.  Hope I get to meet him in the flesh sometime!

2ND. EXHIBIT 155

Korat. 9 years. F

Beautiful girl aged 9 years.  She has a typical heart-shaped head (the point of the heart enhanced by a little “goatee”!), lovely rounding to her muzzle and large, luminous eyes of pale green. Difficult to assess body shape from the pic but looks to be compact & well-filled with elegant legs & neat oval paws, tail ending in a slightly rounded tip.  Her coat shows plenty of silver tipping & looks to be short & close-lying. A striking girl looking very demure.

3RD. EXHIBIT 10

Russian Blue. 2 years. MN

Elegant young boy aged 1 year.  He has large wide-based ears that are set almost vertical, well-defined whisker pads & pale green eyes that are set on a slight slant with the typical Russian expression. Can’t really comment on body conformation or tail length,  but he does have a very elegant leg ending in a small oval paw!  Nice silver sheen to his muzzle, coat looks to be a good even blue all over.
