Such wonderfully vivid colour and patterning on this kitten and such alert expressive eyes. Doing what a mischievious kitten should be doing and climbing a log, such a sense of wickedness showing. Love it.

My thanks to the show team for asking me to be part of this virtual event. I certainly had a wonderful array of beautiful cats to choose from, and in each case it genuinely could have gone either way.

Best Adult

Skeeman Mr.Kalinka, owned by Vanessa Gauci Mifsud

Somali, Ruddy (Usual), 3 Years. Male

A lovely mature boy with vivid green almond shaped eyes and large wide set ears. Head shows a moderate wedge, very good gentle contours to the head shape and a slight indentation forming the muzzle. Super tufts to paws, rich warm golden brown coat with an apricot base ticked with black. Ruff evident around the neck. I was very taken with his gorgeous eyes and gentle expression as well as that rich toned well ticked coat. My female adult had a really stunning coat colour and showed lots of elegance but he had the edge on maturity and head development in this class.

Gr Pr Brofield Bubble N Squeak, owned by Donna Coupland

Blue Point Birman, 1 Year 7 months. Male Neuter

Who could not fall in love with this beautiful face? What a lovely Birman, so typical of the breed with that sweet gentle expression. Medium sized ears, set well apart on the strong broad rounded head, full cheeks and well developed muzzle. Absolutely fabulous eye colour, such a deep shade of blue and they look straight into your soul. Delicate mid blue points contrasting very well with the bluish white body colour, white feet markings look good on the photos. Long coat with a well furnished bushy tail. A very impressive young man all round, it was so close between this boy and the female neuter (a beautiful mature RagaMuffin who also adhered the SOP closely), but his fabulous eye colour swung the award his way today.

Best Kitten

Julescoon Feline Dion, owned by Lea McCarthy

Maine Coon, Classic Brown Tabby with White, 8 months. Female

Well balanced young lady for eight months old with large high set ears which were very well furnished with tips and tufts. Head of good medium length, cheeks already well filled for age, square shaped muzzle and deep chin. Slight oblique set to large green eyes. The full body photo really shows off her long body so well and she has a wonderful clear classic brown tabby pattern with contrasting snow white to front feet, back legs, bib and underbody. Very pretty young lady all round. My male kitten had fabulous bone structure and a very well developed muzzle, his head has very good length though breadth yet to develop as expected at 19 weeks. His time will come.

Selkirk Longhaired kitten. Well grown boy with striking masculine expression, great width  to head and lovely box muzzle showing great strength in it already , nice placement of ears, eyes could be larger looking a tad deep set in this picture but my real attraction was to his Super coat showing great density with a lovely flowing wave throughout out, real eye catcher.

Well grown youngster. Head appears to be of good shape but his ears are a little larger than I would prefer and set a little high.  Large expressive eyes of good shape and set. A very well rexed boy with complete coverage of silky looking waves. Head currently a little narrower than I would like. Very large mussel shaped ears Head is a tapering wedge with a firm chin. Eyes at the moment are a rounded oval set at a slight angle towards the ear. Stubby, crinkly whiskers. I chose this boy due to the super coat.

Imp Gr Ch Rossikhan Lovely Jubbly, owned by Michele Garrod

Brown Burmese. 2 years. Male

Very handsome boy, mature and nicely developed for his age, showing good overall type.  Long muscular body is both well filled and well-balanced and looks to be of very good weight and substance, with straight back, gently rounded chest and slender well-shaped legs ending in compact oval feet in proportion.  Head forms short wide wedge, blunt in the muzzle with some jowls visible, slightly rounded top between well-spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape.  Lovely large lustrous warm yellow eyes are of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical “glowering” expression.   Gentle curve to brow, very good break discernible, chin is level and of fairly good depth.  Fine coat lies very close to the body and appears smooth with a glossy shine, indicative of good condition.  Warm rich sable brown colour is even in tone.  Tail tapers every to “paintbrush” tip, and length looks to balance nicely.  Nicely posed head shots show his head and expression to advantage.

UK Imp Gr Pr Clarksfield Queen Elsa, owned by Elaine Skidmore

Blue Burmese. 7 years.  Female Neuter.  Attractive mature lady of good overall type, looking nicely finished.  Balanced well-filled body looks well-muscled and of very good substance with gently rounded chest and slender elegant well-shaped legs ending in neat oval paws.  Head shows short wide wedge, blunt in the muzzle with slightly rounded top between well-spaced medium large broad based ears of good shape.  Lustrous large eyes are held well open, pale yellow chartreuse in colour and of very good shape, set wide apart to give typical Burmese expression.  Gentle curve to brow, very good break from what I can see and nose is short and appears straight, chin is level and of fairly good depth.  Coat appears both fine and short, lying very close to the body and looks smooth and satiny in texture, in super condition and displaying a gleaming shine.  Warm medium blue grey colour is even in tone with attractive silvery edges to head, ears, body and limbs.  Tail not visible so can’t gauge length.  Alert yet contented looking girl, who posed well for her pictures.

Best Kitten

Impromptu Aramis , owned by Mrs Rowena Watkins & Mr Richard Bowden

Cream Burmese.  14 weeks old.  Male

Very attractive kitten, who is developing well and shows very pleasing type.  Long slender body looks in balance and appears well-filled and muscular with gently rounded chest and slender well shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion.  Head forms short wide wedge, blunt in the muzzle with gently rounded top between broad based medium large ears of good shape.  Large lustrous eyes are a warm slightly muddy yellow in colour (colour still developing), of very good shape and set wide apart to give typical expression.  Gently rounded brow, from what I can see nose break seems good and distinct, nose is short and straight, chin appears level, it is difficult to gauge the depth from the photos, but looks fairly good.  Coat lies close to the body, looking closely it appears to be fine and fairly short, looking smooth in texture and displaying a glistening shine.  Pale to medium cream is even in tone with some faint evidence of powdering on top of head, faint “M” on brow, legs appear clear of marks from what I can see.  Tail is of good shape and looks a suitable length to balance body.  An alert looking kitten in super condition

What an adorable young kitten, only three months old looks as if butter would not melt in her mouth. Lovely rich golden colour coat, with bright eyes, and really long whiskers for a youngster. I bet she keeps her owner on their toes, she looks so innocent, but I am sure she has her moments. Well done she is gorgeous.
